ces workers\, and other caring citizens how to help an adolescent (age 12-
18) who is experiencing a mental health or addictions challenge or is in c
risis.\n\nThe course introduces common mental health challenges for youth\
, reviews typical adolescent development\, and teaches a 5-step action pla
n for how to help young people in both crisis and non-crisis situations.\n
\nTopics covered include:\n\nAnxiety\nDepression\nSubstance use\nDisorders
in which psychosis may occur\nDisruptive behavior disorders (including AD
/HD)\nEating disorders\n\nThe training will be held virtually\, with in
structor Gloria Marfo. It's open to Milwaukee County residents and those w
ho work with them. It's offered at no cost to participants.
